Gianfranco Gamba

Gamba earned his most lasting fame among anime audiences as the Italian voice of Frieza, the fearsome tyrant who dominated the Saiyan and Namek arcs. His vocal performance captured the character's ruthlessness while maintaining the commanding presence of the original, becoming iconic for Italian Dragon Ball fans. He continued voicing Frieza across multiple films, including the feature Dragon Ball Z: The Origins of the Myth released through Mediaset.

Beyond Dragon Ball, Gamba trained in theater acting early in his career and became an accomplished professional voice actor, working in dubbing for more than two decades. Among his other notable roles, he voiced the character Jadeite in Sailor Moon, another iconic anime role that showcased his range. Gamba's skill lay in crafting distinct vocal identities, earning comparisons to original voice actor Ryūsei Nakao for his ability to capture Frieza's distinctive tone with remarkable precision.
