Ask Him For Me

Tohru works up the nerve to enter the Sohma Estate hoping to reach Kureno, only to falter and circle the grounds instead. Before she can find him, an unexpected meeting with Momiji's younger sister pulls her into a far more tender mission.

Momiji is told to give up his violin lessons so he will not cross paths with his sister Momo, who has begun studying under the same teacher. While circling the estate, Tohru bumps into Momo, who slips her in through a gap in the wall and asks her to beg Momiji to be her big brother. Tohru carries the message upstairs, and the two weep together as Momiji shares his dream of one day performing a private concert for the family he must keep at arm's length.

Guided by a map Momiji draws, Tohru ventures alone toward Kureno's quarters, panicking and getting filthy along the way before he shields her from discovery and jokingly threatens to call the police. She explains she has come for Uotani's sake, and though he declines to see her, she tucks Uotani's number beneath a rock should he someday reconsider. Back home on the rooftop, a dirt-covered Tohru muses to Kyo about longing to stay close to someone dear, then finds herself crying over a wish that may never come true, resolving to keep wishing all the same.

The episode adapts chapters 74 and 75, and its title is taken from a line of Momo's. It aired in Japan on July 20, 2020, and in the United States on November 2, 2020, carrying the opening Home and the ending Eden.
