Donald Ferguson

Trim and light-haired, Donald keeps the clean-cut look of a middle-aged agent, blue-eyed and pale, standing a touch below Cecil but matching Omni-Man for height. Decades of service have left almost none of his original body intact; beneath a convincing layer of skin sits a nearly indestructible metal frame, which is why he never seems to age.

His wardrobe stays uniform: a pale grey one-piece suit worn with a white shirt, a blue tie, and dark shoes. The mirrored aviators are a fixture he is never without, clinging to his face even after being snapped clean in two.

Sharp and dependable, Donald excels at absorbing Cecil's instructions and carrying them out, often briefing his boss on unfolding crises and spotting the threads that tie events together. His intellect, though, is outshone by his courage. Time and again he has thrown himself into danger, which is precisely why so little of his flesh remains.

What makes his heroism striking is that he rarely knows the stakes are survivable. Because his memory is erased with each rebuild, he frequently believes himself still fully human and assumes any given sacrifice will be his last, yet he makes it anyway.

Donald began his career as an ordinary human, but repeated deaths in service to the agency forced the G.D.A. to rebuild him again and again until only his brain stayed organic, housed in a synthetic body wrapped in lifelike skin. That frame shrugs off wounds that would kill a normal person and registers no pain, so a torn face or a severed limb barely slows him. Each time he falls, the agency revives him in a fresh chassis, restoring his memories minus any recollection of dying so that his sense of self holds together.

During the Invincible War he helped defend Earth beside his close friend Brit. By the conflict's final day he had been left horribly broken, most likely by the variant Lightblueincible, reduced to little more than a cybernetic torso. Brit, barely scratched, hoisted what remained of him amid the wreckage of a ruined city, and even in that state Donald was reportedly in better shape than many of the surviving heroes.
