Powerplex

Out of costume, Scott is a fair-skinned man with blond hair, green eyes, and a lean, athletic frame. His villain gear is a snug black bodysuit trimmed in red, marked by a high red collar over the shoulders, red cuffs, and red banding running down the torso and legs. Discs for storing energy sit at his back, arms, waist, and stomach, glowing as he takes in and releases power. He finishes the look with gray metal boots, knee guards, and a red piece wrapped over his ears that leaves most of his head bare.

Scott began as a content, well-grounded family man, especially devoted to his sister and doting on his niece. The loss of both women curdled that warmth into bitterness. Convinced Invincible was to blame for the Chicago catastrophe, he reframed his thirst for revenge as justice for everyone killed there, and no amount of proof that the hero had fought to stop Omni-Man could shake the belief. He cast off his old life to become a supervillain.

Early on he still tried to spare bystanders, but that restraint broke the instant he faced Invincible in person. The hero's talk of guilt and shared pain only stoked his fury, and in his recklessness he caused the deaths of his own wife and son. Rather than accept the blame, he sank deeper into hatred. During the Invincible War he battled the evil variants beside other heroes, yet vengeance still drove him; he burned one fallen variant and gloated over the ashes. He briefly joined the rebuilding effort afterward, then attacked the true Invincible on sight, again blaming him for all the destruction.

Scott's altered physiology lets him soak up the kinetic force of any impact and turn it into an electrical charge, a process that both shields him and fuels his attacks, growing stronger the more he is struck. Channeled through the bio-therm discs on his suit, that stored charge becomes bolts of electricity he can hurl at will. His absorption was once minor, but the stolen storage discs amplified it enormously, lifting him among the most powerful beings on the planet.

The same intake grants him great strength, enough to throw a grown man into a car, and near-total protection from physical blows, letting him shrug off strikes even from Invincible, though a single hit from Movincihawk once dropped him. His electrical blasts can wound and stun Invincible to the point of drawing blood, and he electrocuted an evil variant to death. By firing bolts into the ground, he can launch himself in long leaps. His power has clear limits, however. Pin him down and cut off any incoming kinetic energy and his charge runs dry, and because he draws only on kinetic force, he stays vulnerable to sound, lasers, strangulation, and chemical weapons. The discs that empower him are fused to his body and cannot be removed safely, while his shattered mental state leaves him dangerously erratic.
