Multi-Paul, born Paul Cha, is a merciless assassin for the criminal Order and the twin brother of the hero Dupli-Kate. He shares her power to spawn copies of himself but uses it far more savagely, treating every clone as a throwaway weapon.
A young Chinese man, Paul has grey eyes and short-cropped black hair. In his Multi-Paul identity he sports a grey-and-black outfit stamped with a number, and each duplicate he spawns bears its own number marking where it falls in sequence among the rest.
Where his twin chose heroism, Paul went the other way, selling his skills as a killer for the Order. For all his villainy he genuinely loves Kate, and he set out to avenge what he took to be her death by stalking Rex Splode, whom he faulted for failing to keep her safe, feeling no guilt over the attempt even after she resurfaced alive. His trade has hardened him into someone far more brutal and careless with the power than Kate is. She restrains herself because a duplicate's death hurts her, but Paul spends his copies freely and shrugs off their ends, once mashing dozens together to slip a cell and giving up eight more to snap a restraint collar. To him, an assassin and a Guardian are the same job, each boss burning through people like pawns, so he simply took the side that pays better.
Just like Dupli-Kate, Multi-Paul can generate identical doubles of himself, every one able to think, feel, and act on its own while linked telepathically to the rest, so any death registers across all of them. In a fight he floods the field with far more duplicates than his sister ever does and puts them to sharper use. His background spans hand-to-hand striking, clinch and ground grappling, martial arts, wrestling, and boxing, and paired with his ruthlessness it makes his fighting deadlier and his tactics more elaborate than hers. He barely registers the anguish of a dying replicant, enough to crush more than a dozen at once or force out clones until a restraint collar bursts. His single real ceiling is room to work: like Kate, replication demands space, so a collar or similar bind around the neck stops any new copy from forming.
Multi-Paul, born Paul Cha, works as a merciless assassin for the criminal organization known as the Order. He is the twin brother of the hero Dupli-Kate and shares her duplication power, but uses it far more ruthlessly, and he once stalked Rex Splode to avenge Kate's presumed death.
Multi-Paul chose villainy while his twin sister Dupli-Kate became a hero, selling his combat skills to the Order instead. He views being an assassin and being a Guardian as essentially the same job, since both bosses burn through people like pawns, so he simply took the side that paid better.
Multi-Paul is voiced by Simu Liu in Invincible.
The wiki does not rank their raw strength directly, but Multi-Paul is depicted as more dangerous in combat than Dupli-Kate. He floods fights with far more duplicates, has training in striking, grappling, wrestling and boxing, and spends his clones freely without the hesitation that restrains his sister.
Multi-Paul's father is Tsing Cha, who is also the father of his twin sister Dupli-Kate.
