Chapter 10

The shockwave from Katsuki's enormous blast reaches the floor where Tenya and Ochaco are guarding the weapon, and Tenya remarks on how unhinged his partner has become. Ochaco reads his distraction and breaks for the core, but Tenya spots the move. She clears him with Zero Gravity, only for his Engine Quirk to carry the payload out of her reach.

Upstairs, All Might warns Katsuki that another detonation on that scale will end the exercise as a forfeit. Katsuki switches to his fists and closes on Izuku. Izuku's swing misses when Katsuki steers his own trajectory with a small blast, coming around behind him and slamming an explosion into his back. He then hauls Izuku up by the arm, throws him down, and tells him he is beneath contempt. Out of ideas, badly outmatched, and backed into a corner, Izuku falls back on One For All. The two rush each other. Izuku aims a Detroit Smash at the ceiling instead of his opponent, while Katsuki's blast catches the left arm raised to guard.

The strike blows out the floor beneath, and Ochaco saves herself by clinging to a pillar. Using it as a fulcrum, she launches the falling wreckage at Tenya with Comet Home Run. He loses track of her in the debris, she vaults past him, and the nuclear core is hers. All Might calls the round for the hero side, leaving Katsuki stunned.

All Might threatens Katsuki with disqualification if he repeats his large-scale explosion, pushing him into close-quarters fighting.

Cornered and overpowered, Izuku resorts to One For All and fires a Detroit Smash into the ceiling rather than at Katsuki, wrecking the floor above Tenya and Ochaco.

Ochaco debuts Comet Home Run, batting the resulting debris at Tenya to distract him.

Ochaco secures the nuclear core, giving the hero pairing victory in the Battle Trial's opening bout.

Kohei Horikoshi's tenth My Hero Academia installment runs 19 pages. It ran in 2014's forty-second issue, dated September 13 of that year, and volume 2 collects it under the Battle Trial arc. Katsuki Bakugo appears alone on the cover, and a sketch accompanies the release.

The action takes place at U.A. High School's Ground Beta and concludes the bout between Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka against Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Ida. Quirks on display include Explosion, Zero Gravity, Engine, and One For All, with the Grenadier Bracers among the equipment featured.
