
The fifty-fourth chapter of One-Punch Man, "Centipede," sees Metal Bat's supposed victory undone as Senior Centipede and Rafflesidon surface, while Garou learns of Watchdog Man and turns his attention to Metal Bat.
With his clash against Junior Centipede and Venus Mantrap apparently won, Metal Bat draws cheers from Narinki and Waganma, who want to celebrate. Junior Centipede, however, is not finished and taunts the hero over his place in the food chain. Before Metal Bat can put him down for good, Senior Centipede bursts from the earth and drives the hero, the sponsor, and the boy out of the restaurant. Outside, Rafflesidon rises from the ground and begins spewing knockout gas across the crowd.
Off at the edge of S-City, Garou learns from Tareo about Watchdog Man's location and daily habits. When the city broadcasts a Demon-level alert and notes that Metal Bat is tied up battling monsters, Garou decides to go see the hero for himself.
Metal Bat seems to beat Junior Centipede and Venus Mantrap, but Junior Centipede survives and taunts him. Senior Centipede emerges and forces everyone outside, and Rafflesidon releases knockout gas. Tareo briefs Garou on Watchdog Man, and Garou heads toward Metal Bat after the Demon-level alert.
Titled "Centipede" (Tonari 79), the chapter belongs to Volume 10 and the Monster Raid Arc and was adapted in Episode 16. Its cover features Genos and Saitama.
In Chapter 54, Junior Centipede survives and taunts Metal Bat, and before the hero can finish him off, Senior Centipede bursts from the ground and drives Metal Bat, Narinki, and Waganma out of the restaurant.
