The eighty-second chapter of One-Punch Man flips the beatdown as an exhausted Garou turns the heroes' own weapons and teamwork against them, dismantling Death Gatling's squad one by one before Genos answers the call.
Still under fire from the assembled heroes, Garou flashes back to an episode of a cartoon in which the champion Justice Man beat a crab demon only with allied support. Chain'n'toad loops his chain around Garou's ankle to pin him while Smile Man swings, but Garou redirects the ball to take out Chain'n'toad, then strips the sphere from Smile Man's kendama and flings it into Gun Gun, dropping him. Wild Horn tries to steady the fight and instead becomes a human shield. When Glasses and Stinger charge to help, Garou channels Glasses's own blows to knock out Shooter. He then feints toward Stinger, using tangled roots to throw the heroes off balance and eliminate Smile Man.
Death Gatling opens up with his guns, but Garou raises Glasses as cover. Stinger moves to intervene, and both he and Glasses fall to Garou in quick succession. Spotting an opening, Death Gatling unloads a full barrage, only to watch in disbelief as Garou swats every round aside before knocking him unconscious as well. Just as Garou pauses to gather his breath, Genos descends, having answered the support signal that Glasses managed to send.
Garou reverses the ambush and defeats Death Gatling's entire team, turning their attacks and each other into weapons. He deflects Death Gatling's full barrage before knocking him out. As Garou catches his breath, Genos arrives in answer to the distress signal Glasses transmitted, setting up their confrontation.
This Monster Association Arc chapter appeared in Volume 16 and partly adapts webcomic Chapter 53, aligning with anime Episode 23. Garou is the lone cover character. A bonus page shows a chibi Tatsumaki reclining on a floating rock and idly lifting rubble with her telekinesis.
