Overview

Healer Star Power, Make Up is the spoken cue that turns Yaten Kou into Sailor Star Healer. The change runs on the Sailor Change Star, the item Yaten lifts overhead while reciting the words. Mechanics

The manga keeps things immediate: Yaten holds the Sailor Change Star aloft, calls out the phrase, and stands transformed an instant later. The anime stretches it into two separate sequences.

In the earlier one, the star atop the Sailor Change Star lights up, a burst of radiance fixes the brooch to the chest, and Yaten slips into female form before a final flash supplies the full sailor uniform and a run of finishing poses. The later, more elaborate version opens with the same glowing star, adds three streaking stars, and has Yaten spin slowly into female form as golden energy sweeps up the body to shape the uniform and settle the closing stance.

Notable Users

Only Yaten Kou speaks the phrase, and only to take on the Sailor Star Healer identity. The more ornate anime sequence debuts in the episode Luna's Discovery: The Real Face of Yaten.
