Summary
The sixty-eighth episode overall and the twenty-second of the R season, this chapter pits the full team against the Black Moon Clan's enforcers. Stung by cruel remarks she overhears from Usagi, Chibiusa bolts and attempts to return to the future, but the way home refuses to open. Her distress gives away her position, and Koan and Berthier pounce. She slips their grasp, yet Rubeus and the Spectre Sisters soon converge, forcing Sailor Moon and the other four guardians into a desperate stand to shield her.

The story opens on Nemesis, where Wiseman warns Rubeus that the clan's campaign in the future is faltering; their fleet of ships was driven back from the Crystal Palace by four unknown women, the guardians of the days to come. To undo them, Rubeus sends the Spectre Sisters to erase Chibiusa and the present-day team so their future selves will never exist. When the sisters close in, Luna-P is knocked aside and Luna herself steps in to buy the child time, taking a brutal beating before dragging herself to the Hikawa Shrine to sound the alarm.
Usagi trails Chibiusa to a construction site and catches her speaking to Sailor Pluto through Luna-P. The four sisters strike together, and once the rest of the team arrives the fight splits into single combats, each guardian matched against her counterpart: Mars against Koan, Mercury against Berthier, Venus against Calaveras, and Jupiter against Petz. Rubeus swoops in to seize Chibiusa, but Tuxedo Mask stalls him long enough for Sailor Moon to loose Moon Princess Halation from the Cutie Moon Rod; the villain slips the blast and calls a withdrawal. Grateful at last, Chibiusa accepts that the guardians truly want to protect her, while far away Wiseman begins to grasp the tie between Sailor Moon and her future self, Neo-Queen Serenity.
Notes
The DiC release retitled the episode Naughty 'N' Nice and swapped in the song She's Got the Power during the five-on-five clash; the Japanese cut instead used Ai No Senshi, its first appearance in the show. Sweden skipped the episode entirely because its studio declined to broadcast foreign-language singing, and DiC trimmed a scene of Chibiusa asleep in Usagi's bed to sidestep a bit of toilet humor from the original. The Japanese airing was September 11, 1993, with North America seeing it on November 15, 1995.
