With Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask lost inside the swelling Queen Metalia, the surviving Guardians pour their lives into one last attack. Reunited in the dark, Usagi and a blinded Mamoru learn the enemy's single weakness and ready the Silver Crystal for a final sealing.
The remaining Guardians struggle to bring Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask back from the brink, as Sailor Moon steels herself to lock Queen Metalia away for good.
Horrified, the Guardians watch Sailor Moon impale herself, and Mamoru's light merges into the Silver Crystal, which swells and encloses the couple before Metalia swallows all three and rises to blot out the sky. Their attacks useless, the Guardians fall back to Tokyo while Luna and Artemis beg Queen Serenity for aid from the moon. As the world sinks into ruin and infighting, Venus persuades the others to give up their Transformation Pens and pour every scrap of power through the Legendary Sword, striking Metalia even at the risk of their lives before collapsing.
Sailor Moon wakes inside Metalia to find the crystal shrunk back to a lotus shape, and she carries herself and Mamoru free. Released from possession but robbed of his sight, Mamoru recovers Kunzite's stone, and the fallen general's spirit reveals that Metalia's heart, exposed on her forehead, is her weak point. Sharing this with Usagi and offering his own strength, Mamoru feels his sight return as the crystal blazes, and Sailor Moon fuses it with the Moon Stick, vowing to seal Metalia once and for all.
In Act 13, the surviving Sailor Guardians fight to save Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask after Queen Metalia swallows them both and grows to blot out the sky.
