Episode 34

Returning inside after the fireworks, Loid reads the lips of agitated SSS agents and learns a bomb sits in the ship's bilge. Needing Anya out of the way, he deposits her at a drop-in daycare, which she promptly escapes. Posing as a crewman with Marine bomb-disposal experience, Loid examines the device: rigged against removal and built in a style favored by Western extremists, which convinces him someone wants the attack blamed on Westalis, since WISE would know of any genuine operation.

Anya, hunting for Yor, skims the fleeing informant's thoughts and learns the fight is on the roof deck. She finds Yor's dropped stiletto below it and, unable to climb, hurls the weapon up over the railing. It lands far from the action, yet fate cooperates: two assassins sneaking toward the Gretchers' hatch trip over it in a chain of slapstick that knocks both out cold. The clatter draws Yor to her recovered weapon. She commits to a final exchange with the Swordsman just as Matthew, back on his feet, shoots the Assassin Leader off his firing line. The two blade fighters cross in a single pass, and only the Swordsman falls. Loid defuses the bilge bomb but immediately suspects it is not alone, and elsewhere the informant gloats over a second device ticking inside the ship.

The injured Assassin Leader, plotting one last attempt on Olka, instead smells explosives packed inside an atrium clock, the informant's parting gift. Anya overhears and, unwilling to expose her telepathy, tells a crewman she saw a strange man wipe a booger on the clock, prompting an inspection. With no time to disarm it, Loid unbolts the whole clock and flings it into the sea, where the blast rains down on the informant and the Leader as they fight over a one-man escape raft. Sharks close in on the survivors. In the storage hold, Olka embraces Yor despite her protests about bloodied hands, telling her those hands bought Gram his future, and the refugees slip away to their retrieval ship. Matthew passes along a message that Loid and Anya want to meet Yor tomorrow, framing it as her reward, plus a handkerchief and ice for the facial swelling. Loid collects his sleeping daughter from the daycare, catches himself mourning time lost with his "family," and spirals over what his mission has become as the resort island day dawns.

Loid discovers and disarms the bilge bomb while disguised as an ex-Marine crewman, deducing the explosives are staged to implicate Westalis. Anya's thrown stiletto accidentally eliminates two assassins targeting the Gretchers and rearms Yor for the finish. Yor kills the Swordsman in a single passing strike after Matthew guns down the interfering Assassin Leader. Loid hurls the second bomb, hidden in an atrium clock, overboard, and its detonation takes out the informant and the Leader at their raft. Olka, Gram, and Zeb transfer safely to the rendezvous vessel, completing Yor's mission, and Matthew grants her the next day with her family.

The episode covers Chapters 54 and 55. Anime-original additions show exactly how Anya slipped out of the daycare using a drawing request as a distraction, Yor chasing after Matthew across the deck after being released to her family, and a new closing scene of the Forgers waking to watch the resort island approach. The insert song "Until the End" plays over the conclusion of Yor's battle with the Swordsman.
