A member of the Paramecia group, this power turns whoever eats it into an Insight Human, a title given to someone whose gaze slips past every barrier. Viola stands as its only known holder within the tale.
Part of its value lies in raw perception and part in trespass, since the wielder peels away both physical cover and the secrecy of a person's thoughts, and does so with no visible effort.
Mechanics
Nothing obstructs the wielder's sight, be it fabric, skin, or a hidden intention. Viola draws truth from a liar's own memories, and the process runs both directions: she can also push her recollections into another head, where they surface as if the person had lived them. Her range stretches to about four thousand kilometers on every side, delivering fine detail regardless of walls or distance, and it demands neither a gesture nor even open eyes.
An offensive edge rounds it out, letting her tears be shaped and fired as deadly projectiles. Clear flaws are few, yet a sudden brush against a disturbing thought, such as Sanji's obsession with beautiful women, can jolt an unprepared user. Sustained telepathy wears on the mind and calls for genuine fortitude, and every standard Devil Fruit vulnerability remains in force.
