The Ishi Ishi no Mi grants control over rock through merging rather than projection. Its consumer, the Donquixote officer Pica, becomes able to slip into any stone he touches and treat it as an extension of himself. The name draws from ishi, the Japanese word for stone, and English releases call it the Stone-Stone Fruit. Despite the superficial resemblance, this is not a Logia: the user cannot turn his flesh into rock or conjure it from nothing, a point the story underlines when Pica's true body is forced into the open.

Once merged with stone, the wielder commands it with a flexibility and dexterity the material would never have on its own, stretching and reshaping it freely. Pica governed the entirely stone-built Dressrosa palace as though it were his own anatomy, sealing corridors and sliding walls at will. The power scales with how much rock surrounds him, and damage inflicted on the controlled stone does not carry back to his real body, so he can shrug off the destruction of his stone form indefinitely and rebuild within seconds.

The catch is that his actual body resides inside the stone and stays as fragile as any person's, which is why Pica had to shift his hidden self aside to dodge Zoro's blade. If he loses contact with the ground while airborne, he cannot draw in fresh stone, and slicing the rock around him exposes his real form. The assimilated stone is also no harder than ordinary stone, so a strong enough strike shatters it, and the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses remain. His named techniques lean on bulk and reach: Pulpostone spawns crushing tentacles, Charlestone erupts a field of giant spikes, Ishiusu slams spiked pillars together around a foe, and Bitestone forms a stone copy of his head to bite an enemy.

Pica is the sole owner. He used the fruit to hide inside walls and ambush intruders, then escalated dramatically when Sugar fainted and Dressrosa rose in revolt, taking hold of the island's rocky foundation to reshape the landscape, relocate the palace, and raise the Flower Hill. At its peak he fused with the entire island to tower over even ancient giants like Oars and Sanjuan Wolf. His regenerating stone body invites comparison to the giant Antaeus of Greek myth, and Zoro ultimately beat him the same way Heracles beat Antaeus, by lifting him off the ground. The power also echoes the Shima Shima no Mi, though that fruit fuses with any island terrain and feeds damage back to its user.
