The title stems from jaketto, how Japanese renders the English word jacket, and overseas versions name it the Jacket-Jacket Fruit. Its owner is Kelly Funk, one of the two Funk Brothers.

Activation morphs the user into a skin-like coat that a human or animal can wear. Once someone dons it, the eater seizes control of the host's body and inherits whatever powers it holds, frequently gaining a steep boost in strength. Speech and movement stay available to the user while in coat form, and differences in size pose no trouble, as the garment stretches to accommodate a bigger wearer. Every shown application needs a willing host, and it stays unclear whether the fruit accomplishes anything for the eater on their own or can be forced onto an unwilling body. Aside from that, the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses hold. The named pairing Jake Jake Ninin-baori has Kelly serve as the coat that brother Bobby wears, echoing the comedic Japanese nininbaori routine in which two people share one oversized garment. From within, the follow-up Rarara Rambo lets loose a barrage of punches resembling Luffy's Gatling, Kelly's feeble blows powered by Bobby's mighty frame; it dropped Boo at once yet came up short against the quicker Sai.

Kelly Funk stands as the only user, and the power only proves potent when he teams with his brother. Becoming Bobby's jacket, Kelly welds his own aggression to Bobby's boosted muscle into a dangerous duo. Where clothing-based powers go, this ranks as the second to appear, following the Fuku Fuku no Mi eaten by Kin'emon. Drawing fighting strength out of another individual, it runs parallel to one other power, the Baku Baku no Mi. It also reverses what the Woshu Woshu no Mi does, since that fruit renders targets cloth-like rather than the user, and, like the Gocha Gocha no Mi, it can fuse several people into a single form.
