Vladimir Kocaqi

Kocaqi is a small, aged man in worn clothing who is rarely seen without an umbrella in hand. For all his years he remains fit, standing with a straight, unbent back.

Despite his line of work, Kocaqi comes across as a gentle, wise elder who looks after his team and stays quiet until someone provokes him. He holds self-serving men like Cannolo Murolo in contempt, feels no remorse for his own deeds, and yet shows genuine mercy, sparing Sheila E and Fugo during their clash and fighting without malice. A Sicilian at heart, he preaches that existence is unjust by its very nature and must simply be accepted, that raging against hardship is a pitiful response, and that leaning on willpower alone is futile; above all he prizes silence. Even Giorno Giovanna, who ordered his death, regarded the loss as a waste.

During the Second World War, Kocaqi lost his sister as they fled the Allied invasion of Sicily and used his Stand to grant her a final peace. Years later, after Giorno Giovanna toppled Diavolo and purged the narcotics team from Passione, Kocaqi and his men took shelter in Taormina, where he cornered Cannolo Murolo, Sheila E, and Pannacotta Fugo inside an old amphitheater. He trapped Fugo inside the feeling of an endless stumble, driving him helplessly out of the arena, and when a stray doubt crossed Sheila E's mind he pinned that thought so that her every strike missed. As he pressed Murolo for information about the Squadra Esecuzioni, Fugo hurled himself back into the theater with Purple Haze, whose fist smashed Kocaqi's skull and snapped his neck at once before the virus devoured his body.
