Appearance

Miguel is a tall, powerfully built African man who keeps both his eyes and hair hidden under accessories. Hoop earrings hang from his large ears above thin lips, armless sunglasses sit over his eyes, and a big, puffy beret-style hat tops his head. For clothes he favors dark pants, a short-sleeved jacket worn zipped up, and red footwear soled and heeled in black; roughly a year into his time near Yuta he picked up a patterned hoodie as well.

That measured presentation matches a man more relaxed than flashy, his face rarely uncovered.

Personality

Calm by nature, Miguel does not flaunt the contempt for non-sorcerers that ran through most of his old comrades. He and Larue simply wanted to see Suguru Geto realize his ambitions, and after Geto's death the two chose to walk away from the group. So deep was his loyalty that he would face the planet's mightiest sorcerer for Geto's sake, though he vowed to curse the man if the fight ended his life.

Nervous as he was against so formidable an enemy, Miguel held a confident front, enough that Satoru conceded he was a hard opponent, and a lighter side came with it; the Hasaba sisters thought he was clowning during the clash, and Satoru compared his patter to the MMA comedian Bobby Ologun. After the battle he met Satoru again only with reluctance, and being saddled with training Yuta left him resentful and uneager to see the man, even as he and Yuta got along well enough despite Yuta's part in Geto's end.

Abilities

Miguel ranks as a highly skilled jujutsu sorcerer, drawing praise from Satoru Gojo himself, who counted him a genuinely troublesome foe. The Kenyan sorcerer family he hails from weaves a cursed tool called the Black Rope, its strength on par with special grade gear such as the Inverted Spear of Heaven, and in their duel he used it to disturb Infinity and land a hit on Satoru, something almost no opponent manages, before surviving the encounter and escaping the Six Eyes wielder; intel from Suguru had given him knowledge of both the Six Eyes and Limitless.

His showing on December 24, 2017, earned him the standout-performer nod for that Night Parade, the Hundred Demons operation, which convinced Satoru to recruit him and assign him to sharpen Yuta's enormous potential. Yuta came back from Kenya far stronger than he had left, his improved control over his vast cursed energy owing much to that training.

Toughness was the other hallmark of his fight with Satoru; he absorbed blows from the strongest sorcerer, picked himself up, and struck back, even after being thrown into a building, drawing an admission that he could take a hit. His innate technique, Prayer Song, lets him dance to a beat carved into his body to drive off curses and amplify his own physique, buffing himself and weakening his foes without any domain, and the Black Rope itself cancels cursed-technique effects while burning away with each use until none remains.
