Misato Kuroi

Trim and athletic, Misato has dark eyes set under thin brows, with long black hair gathered into a bun while two strands fall as bangs at the front. The caretaker garb she wears reads like a maid's: a cover over the bun, a black dress with a flared skirt above a white collared shirt, dark leggings, and an apron of white. Their trip to Okinawa was the one time she traded the uniform for a swimsuit on the sand.

Gentle and devoted, Misato's love for Riko ran well past any job description, the pair caring for one another as kin. Loyalty drove her to fight ferociously in the girl's defense, and it was Misato who convinced Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo that Riko was a kind soul at heart.

The Kuroi family into which Misato was born had supplied aides to the Star Plasma Vessel for generations. Wanting out, she enrolled at a junior college and meant to take an ordinary civilian job, but her fondness for Riko pulled her back after a crash claimed the girl's relatives. Through those years she matured into a full jujutsu sorcerer, learning rudimentary cursed energy control and combat to keep Amanai safe.

An ambush by Q's soldiers brought Geto and Gojo to the rescue, and Misato walked Riko to school alongside them. When more intruders stormed the grounds, she hunted for Riko with Gojo, downed one enemy easily, then froze in shock as he blinked out of sight; soon after, captors seized her and mailed Riko a photo of her bound. A rescue in Okinawa reunited the group, and at Riko's pleading they lingered an extra day before heading to the sorcerer college, where Toji Fushiguro ambushed them on arrival. Misato and Geto hurried Riko inside, exchanging a tearful goodbye at an elevator shaft as the two pressed on without her; Toji then struck her down, careless of her survival. Her death is confirmed later when the dying Gojo reaches an airport in the afterlife and finds her there among his fallen comrades, Riko at her side.
