History

The spirit saw action during the mission to escort the Star Plasma Vessel. After Misato Kuroi was abducted by curse users and carried off to Okinawa, the sorcerers flew to the prefecture to retrieve her, and Geto called up Rainbow Dragon to guard the group as it traveled aboard the plane. On the mission's final day the team ran into the assassin Toji Fushiguro. When Toji slipped past Satoru Gojo and killed Riko Amanai before Geto's eyes, the special grade sorcerer answered by summoning both Kuchisake-Onna and Rainbow Dragon. The dragon fared poorly, sliced apart and exorcised by Toji, who cut through its tough hide using the Split Soul Katana.

Abilities

Rainbow Dragon held no confirmed rank, but it counted among Geto's strongest curses while he was a second-year student. Its defining trait was sheer toughness, possessing the hardest skin of any spirit in his collection. It also moved with reasonable speed and force, capable of crashing through stone structures, and it could take to the air. None of that saved it in the end; Toji bypassed its durability entirely and split the dragon in two with a single stroke of the Split Soul Katana.
