Todo halts the momentum of their bout to lecture Yuji on cursed energy, explaining that the eye must improve before the hand can. Divergent Fist merely rides the energy trailing behind Yuji's superhuman speed, so to wound a special grade he must apply energy at the precise moment of impact by letting it circulate through his whole being rather than treating his body as separate parts. With the lesson absorbed, Yuji shrouds himself in cursed energy, Todo does the same, and both prepare to clash anew, energized by the imaginary bond Todo cherishes.

Nearby, Mechamaru shoots Panda for being called a tin can, and after Momo steps in, Panda knocks the puppet aside and suggests the two cursed corpses get along. Offended, the operator escalates with Sword Option, Boost On, and an Ultra Spin charge that misses, then an Ultra Cannon that Panda blocks by reinforcing himself. Panda is revealed as Yaga's masterpiece, a mutated cursed corpse rather than an actual panda, and he dominates the exchange. When Mechamaru's controller, Kokichi Muta, fires his strongest Ultimate Cannon, the smoke clears to expose Panda's Gorilla Mode.

Kokichi, born with a Heavenly Restriction that left his body nearly useless, resents Panda's free life in the sun. Panda explains he holds three cores, his brother and sister among them, lent to him by Yaga, and his Unblockable Drumming Beat cracks Mechamaru's defenses with resonating internal damage. After feigning his core locations through energy manipulation, Panda lands a finishing palm thrust that shatters the puppet. He bears Kokichi no hatred and offers future help, then borrows the broken Mechamaru's phone. Elsewhere, Kasumi begins to grasp just how powerful Maki is.

Todo teaches Yuji to channel cursed energy through his entire body, unlocking a major leap in his ability and concluding their duel. Panda fights Ultimate Mechamaru and reveals himself as Yaga's mutated cursed corpse. Mechamaru is exposed as a remotely controlled puppet operated by the restricted Kokichi Muta. Panda enters Gorilla Mode, unveils his three cores and Unblockable Drumming Beat, and defeats Mechamaru. Maki's clash with Kasumi gets underway.

The episode covers Chapters 37 through 39 and adds anime-original flashbacks of Panda training with Yaga while extending the Panda versus Mechamaru fight. A Juju Stroll short has the Kyoto girls cheerfully relying on Mechamaru for chores rather than their intimidating male teammates.
