Checking that the earlier blast cracked none of his bones, Toji prepares a separate answer for each of the three powers of Limitless, fastening a chain to the Inverted Spear of Heaven for the job. Toji realizes his dread came from breaking his own code; he should have grabbed his money and run, but a small, bitter urge to humiliate jujutsu society and the clan that cast him out had taken hold, and that betrayal of himself is what truly beat him. Pressed for last words, he claims none, then pictures young Megumi and warns Satoru that his son will be handed to the Zenin clan within a few years, to do with however he wishes.
