Saw

Saw stood tall and heavily muscled, his blond hair combed upward above small brows, a short goatee, and grey-blue eyes ringed by long lower lashes. His wardrobe leaned bright, a yellow checked jacket over a pale blue polo with loose white trousers. When he first surfaced, a matching flat cap threw his face into shadow while a black bag hid the rope and axe he fought with.

Laid-back to a fault, Saw preferred to lounge and take things slowly, even settling in with a manga before answering Kashima's call and trailing the others in starting his kills, since he found haste and rushing distasteful. He fancied himself an artist of death, convinced that dull lives could be salvaged by a grand, dramatic ending, and he expected gratitude rather than seeing himself as deranged. He showed flickers of warmth the others lacked, sharing fries with a downcast Apart and reassuring Shin. All of it, though, masked a bone-deep cowardice: faced with his own end, he panicked, pleaded, and bolted, muttering that grim finales are only fun when someone else suffers them.

A former soldier, Saw earned enough of Kashima's trust to receive targets as dangerous as Nagumo and Sakamoto, yet he proved the frailest of the escaped killers. His raw power let him cleave through a pet shop roof and rupture an air compressor, and he shrugged off a makeshift flamethrower, nail-gun rounds, and having his skull driven into the ground. In a fight, his thoughts hammered the single word for killing on a loop, jamming Shin's mind-reading until Shin sharpened the skill enough to break through. Armed with a rope and axe, he cornered Shin and Lu Shaotang in a supermarket, but the pair rallied, crushed his back, and drove him off. Bloodied and desperate, he fled into a taxi only to find Hyo waiting in the back seat, who finished him against the cab window. His crimes stretched back to a military past and dozens of murders before his staged execution.
