Polygraph is Makoto Tsukauchi's Emitter Quirk, and its range extends no further than contact. It weighs the honesty of whatever a target says, flagging genuine statements and false ones alike. The power debuts in Chapter 13 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and in that series' Episode 7.
Mechanics
Skin contact is the switch. With a hand on her subject, Makoto can separate truth from lies, and greenish-yellow lightning flickers from her hands and around whoever she is touching while the Quirk runs. Precision in the questioning matters enormously, because the verdict tracks the literal words spoken. Koichi Haimawari slipped past it without meaning to when Makoto asked whether he was The Cruller, getting his vigilante alias wrong and letting a falsehood register as honest.
