Scatter

Another of the abilities that reached Tomura Shigaraki through theft, Scatter enters the story in Chapter 330 and the anime in Episode 139. Its previous owner is never named.

The Quirk is an Emitter type built for distance, and it functions less as a standalone weapon than as an amplifier bolted onto whatever else the user is firing.

The effect divides and duplicates whatever is being launched at the moment of release. One shot becomes a spread, which widens the area an attack covers and raises the force behind it.

That makes Scatter dependent on having something to fire in the first place. Its value lies in what it does to another attack rather than in anything it produces alone.

Tomura Shigaraki is the only wielder shown with it, and his debut use is the clearest illustration of the concept. Facing Star and Stripe, he intercepted the laser volley from her fighter jet using Reflect, then sent the captured barrage back at her, with Scatter multiplying the return fire on the way out.

The combination is typical of how he fights after inheriting All For One's collection, layering several stolen powers into one attack rather than relying on any single ability.
