This Emitter Quirk belongs to Yosetsu Awase of Class 1-B and demands direct contact to function, debuting in Chapter 81 and Episode 44. Its effect ignores the usual distinction between organic and inorganic, treating flesh and steel as equally fusible.

Anything Yosetsu is touching when he triggers the power bonds together on a subatomic level and stays physically joined. He is not excluded from this, so he can attach himself to an object or to another person, and nothing about the process is permanent, since he can undo any bond he creates. The one hard requirement is contact with at least two separate things; touching a single object accomplishes nothing.

His hero costume is built around extending that reach. He carries small steel logs that act as bridges, letting him fuse one end to one target and the other end to a second, which spares him from having to lay hands on both simultaneously. He also keeps a set of shields that he welds onto himself, converting them into makeshift armor. The same trick works for rescue: bonding parts of his own body to an injured person makes carrying someone who cannot move considerably easier.

His named technique, Construction-Done-Kwik: Weldcraft, chains an opponent to a nearby structure in one rapid motion using those metal logs. He deployed it against Katsuki Bakugo in the Joint Training Battle, where Rikido Sato broke the hold using Sugar Rush, his own Ultimate Move.

Yosetsu Awase is Weld's only known holder. The Quirk suits him as a capture specialist, since binding a target to the scenery neutralizes them without inflicting injury.
