Dadan Tadan

Character

Dadan Tadan fights the way a missile battery does, from a distance and all at once. An Isami Academy student who says plainly that he does not enjoy a fight, he steps into one anyway when his team needs him, launching salvos of light and noise from a mech suit built around his own sweat.

Appearance

Proportion is the joke of Dadan's design. His arms taper thin at the shoulder and swell into enormous hands, and the rest follows suit: hips broader than his shoulders, a soft midsection, and little height next to his classmates. Light chestnut hair sweeps diagonally up and to the left above a round nose, pinprick black eyes, and a mouth curved like a cat's. The Isami High blazer, red tie, gray slacks and brown loafers are all cut to fit that frame.

His hero costume reads as a machine rather than clothing: plated metal in yellow at the shoulders, green across the torso, blue down the legs and red at the gloves, with a black bodysuit showing through the gaps. Launch ports open at his chest, knees and lower torso, boosters ride at the elbows and shoulder blades, and a radar unit covers his left eye. There is no helmet. The shoulder assembly rises around his head instead, leaving a gap for his eyes and forehead to poke through and making him look far bigger than he is.

Personality

Sweating and stammering, Dadan met Class 1-A like someone bracing for impact, and while changing, he apologized to the 1-A boys for how his classmate Romero Fujimi had treated Katsuki Bakugo, which nobody had asked him to do. During the survival exercise he admitted that fighting is not something he likes, then committed to it anyway for his team's sake.

Abilities

Flash Bang Sweat, the unofficial name for his Quirk, lets him perspire a substance that bursts into blinding light and a thunderclap on impact. His mech suit weaponizes it, firing rockets presumably loaded with the stuff and saturating a wide area in a single salvo. Long range is the whole of his fighting style.
