Ectoplasm teaches mathematics at U.A. and fights by outnumbering people. Streams of ectoplasm out of his mouth become as many as thirty copies of himself, all sharing one mind, and losing both legs on the job never drove him out of hero work.
Tall and slender, with short hair and a pair of glasses, Ectoplasm has completely blank eyes that tilt inward. He has no lips, and a full denture sits where they would be. Duty cost him his legs, and prosthetics stand in for them.
His hero costume is mostly a tan cloak that covers him, its high collar and the panel over the torso suggesting a double-breasted trench coat. Beneath that sits a black bodysuit fitted tight to the skin, gold striping at the neck, a black helmet enclosing the head, a jaw guard set across his nose and jaw, circular mufflers, and baggy dark gray trousers, all above a thin and lightweight pair of prosthetics meant for combat.
Eight years past the Final War, the tan cloak is gone in favor of a red one, paired with a mask in silver and black.
He is unrelenting and steady, and it has made him popular.
In the classroom he wants his students at their best and has no hesitation about pushing them there. He warned Tsuyu Asui and Fumikage Tokoyami plainly that he intended to crush them in their final exam, and told them what he was actually after: students who rise instead of folding when the pressure arrives.
Outside the work he likes karaoke, and he smokes. His official profile calls him a hard knocks adherent, and he is a fixture on the ranking of "Heroes That Look Like Villains".
Clones is the whole of his fighting style. He spits streams of ectoplasm and shapes them into duplicates of himself, each one an extension of his real body in something like a hive mind. Thirty at once is normal, and thirty-six is possible on a good day. A strong blow will destroy a clone, but short of that only he can dismiss them. Duplicates can emit ectoplasm and build more duplicates of their own, though the original's ceiling still governs the total, so ten of them could add two apiece and no more. One giant clone is the alternative, strong enough to level structures and to trap Fumikage and Tsuyu in a single blow, at the price of shutting his normal-sized clones off while it lasts.
His Ultimate Move follows from that. Giant Bite Detention spits the ectoplasm out, builds the giant version of himself, and swallows the enemy in one enormous bite. It debuted during the final exams.
He ranks among the strongest members of the U.A. faculty and is more than capable as a Pro Hero. Close range is where he excels, legs or no legs, since the light combat prosthetics let him build his style around flurries of fast kicks. That is why he was assigned to Fumikage in the practical portion of the First Term Final Exam, where he exposed the boy's weaknesses and overpowered Dark Shadow without much trouble. He is also sharp enough to analyze a Quirk and tell a student how to improve it, and since he teaches mathematics at high school level, some skill in the subject is implied.
His equipment is modest. During the final exams he wore High Density Weights, the bracelets the teachers used to handicap themselves against their students. His prosthetic legs come in two sets: ordinary ones off duty, and the lighter pair he switches to with the costume.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Ectoplasm is a Pro Hero and teacher at U.A. High School in My Hero Academia, where he instructs mathematics and is known for his blank eyes and skeletal-looking mask.
Ectoplasm's quirk is called Clones, which lets him spit ectoplasm from his mouth and shape it into up to thirty or thirty-six duplicates of himself that share his mind.
Ectoplasm lost both of his legs while on duty as a hero and now fights using lightweight combat prosthetics, which has not stopped him from remaining an active Pro Hero and U.A. teacher.
Ectoplasm is 50 years old eight years after the Final War, having been 41 at his first appearance and 42 before the story's timeskip.
Ectoplasm's Ultimate Move is Giant Bite Detention, in which he builds one oversized clone strong enough to level structures and swallow an enemy in a single bite.
