History

Mina Ashido, Ochaco Uraraka, Toru Hagakure, and Kyoka Jiro are heading for U.A. High School on the way home from a karaoke exercise when Haishin calls out to them. Toru knows him from online, and he explains he is filming a sidewalk sweets giveaway. His volume puts the girls off until they realize the giveaway is sugar bombs, the treat of the moment that people have been queuing for. They turn him down anyway, since they are dieting ahead of a Tropical water park trip and want to sharpen their self-discipline. He points out that the food costs nothing; they refuse painfully and walk away, leaving him baffled.

The diet holds until Kyoka picks up a loud noise nearby and civilians run past with word of a villain going nuts. The villain, dressed in a suit and wielding a dark energy Quirk, goes after Haishin, telling him that people holding down ordinary jobs are made to look ridiculous by his existence, and that he refuses to tolerate it. The four girls come to his aid with their ultimate moves and get blasted aside, which only angers the villain further, since Haishin is now being defended by little girls. Mina notices him growing stronger, and Kyoka works out that his Quirk converts strong emotion into bursts of energy, meaning he is powering himself up. Beaten down, the girls finally eat the sugar bombs he had been giving away, to his surprise, and the calories fuel a High-Calorie Desperate Attack that takes the villain down. Haishin, delighted to see them win, recognizes them as heroes.
