Hari Kurono

Appearance

Pale hair reaching his chin resolves into arrow-tipped shapes like the needles of a clock, a side effect of the power he carries. His eyes are narrow and dark under sharply pointed brows, set in fair skin.

Like everyone else in the Shie Hassaikai he goes masked, in his case a black plague mask trimmed with gold and fitted with round lenses over the eyes. What separates him from the rest is the long white raincoat whose hood he never lowers.

Personality

Nothing rattles him. He watches Kai Chisaki execute a subordinate without reaction and raises no objection to how Eri is treated. Loyalty to his boss is total: he backs whatever Kai wants, and after Kai quietly repaired his injuries while he lay unconscious, he settled the debt by taking Eraser Head out of the fight.

The devotion shades into something less healthy. The old Shie Hassaikai Boss believed Hari never pushed back on Kai even once, never criticized a single decision, and that this silence is part of what walked Kai into ruin at the heroes' hands. Kai, for his part, calls him "Chrono" and trusts him as one of the Eight Bullets' leading figures, and Hari is the first to move when the League of Villains comes for his boss.

Abilities

Chronostasis slows whatever his clock-hand hair strikes. The minute hand costs a target sixty seconds of speed; the hour hand costs an hour. He can extend the hair a long way, but only while holding still.

Direct combat is not his trade. Instead he shoots well and handles his power with precision, reaching across a room to slow opponents into total immobility and leave them effectively finished. Stealth is the other half of his skill set: when the League of Villains came for Kai, the rest of the Hassai Group came through the walls while Hari dropped from the ceiling, meaning he had been overhead unnoticed. From there he fired two sniper rounds, one briefly stripping Mr. Compress of his power and the other missing Tomura Shigaraki, and nobody registered him until he chose to be noticed. His gear runs to a plague mask, a handgun loaded with darts, a knife kept concealed in a pocket, and special darts carrying a temporary form of the Quirk-Destroying Drug.

He reads a battle carefully. Spotting that Sloshed had wrecked Mirio Togata's balance, he tried to exploit the wobble and failed, then concluded from the student's handling that he had been thoroughly trained. Knowing in advance what Erasure does, he blindfolded Shota Aizawa after paralyzing him so Kai could reach his own power again. During the raid he and Kai tried to slip away with Eri, ran into Mirio, and were overpowered; Hari could only trade shots with the intangible hero, hit nothing, and was knocked cold. He woke in time to ambush Izuku Midoriya and Aizawa, caught only the latter, and was reaching for the hidden knife to finish him when Tamaki Amajiki took him down.
