Appearance

A beaked plague mask, a gift from the Shie Hassaikai, keeps most of his face out of sight. Behind it stands a towering frame packed with muscle, framed by pale brown hair worn long. Layered over a ragged shirt and dark trousers is a pale blue tunic cinched by a pair of belts.

The gauntlets are the giveaway. Leather bindings wrap wrist and hand, and metal sits across each knuckle. Back in his Underground Masquerade days the beak was absent, the tunic did not exist yet, and his hand protection amounted to plates lashed together with sports tape.

Personality

Violence is the whole of his appetite. He carries himself like a warrior out of an older era, measuring people only by whether they can give him a fight worth remembering, and he considers weapons a coward's shortcut, since a real contest should be settled by bodies alone.

His loyalty to Overhaul is a means to an end. He signed on hoping to one day put the boss down, and he keeps needling anyone who might agree to a bout with lives on the table. People who cannot offer that hold no interest for him. People who can earn genuine admiration.

For all the bloodlust, a code runs underneath. He would sooner win alone than lean on Hekiji Tengai. After his clash with Red Riot he let Fat Gum carry the wounded student off for treatment purely so a rematch could happen later, and he volunteered the yakuza's plan to restore their old standing. He also reads people well: at the Underground Masquerade he sized up Iwao Oguro as a man who secretly loved a straight fistfight, a call proven right years later when Iwao lost his Quirk and fought on as Knuckleduster.

Abilities

Strongarm spins his shoulders at absurd velocity, turning his arms into a pair of pistons that fire punches faster than most eyes can track. The window is short, only seconds per activation, but seconds are all he tends to need. Padded metal gauntlets add weight behind every blow.

His technique came out of mixed martial arts and the cage, then hardened in the Quirk-legal fight club known as the Underground Masquerade, where opponents either dropped to one hit or surrendered before taking it. That streak held until Kai Chisaki came recruiting. Kendo demanded the yakuza boss beat him first and was taken apart and reassembled before his swing landed. Five more challenges ended the same way. Chisaki eventually teamed him with Hekiji Tengai, whose barriers cover the brawler whenever an opponent proves his equal.

Raw output backs the speed. One strike punched through Red Riot's Unbreakable and threw him into a wall, and the shock of his flurries hurt Fat Gum despite the hero's cushioning bulk, faster than Fat Absorption could soak it up. He kept pace with O'Clock inside a fighting ring, matching the acceleration of Overclock without leaving an opening, and he stood back up after the stockpiled counterpunch that finally ended the raid battle, though his arms were finished. The brute act hides a working mind, too. He recognized what Fat Gum's last attack was and what it meant for Tengai's barrier.
