Setsuna Tokage

Long, sharply pointed teeth and heavy lower lashes frame a face built around wide, upturned eyes of dusky green. Standing at an average height for her year, Setsuna keeps mossy dark-green hair that falls just past the shoulder, thinning and turning wavier toward the ends, with one short tuft dropping over the middle of her brow. Blonde replaces that green after the timeskip, dyed rather than natural.

Her original costume paired a scaled violet eye mask with a bodysuit cut to match, finished by knee-high black boots. Fingerless gloves carried scaled guards over the knuckles, pale orange protection sat in three pieces at each wrist, and a yellow gem was set into the belt at her waist. The later version keeps that silhouette but shifts mask and suit from indigo toward green, adds gold and brown detailing to the gloves, and wraps a grooved binder-style piece around her middle. The whole outfit is grown from her own cells, so it comes back whenever she does.

Talk comes easily to Setsuna and she uses it, needling opponents, rallying teammates, holding a room's attention. Unlike much of Class 1-B, she carries no grudge against Class 1-A. Battle brings out a harder version of her, the careful and attentive planner giving way to someone willing to fight ugly.

Her classmates follow her without argument, a trust she earned by being right often enough that nobody questions it, and she returns it with total belief in her own ceiling. Doubt and hesitation are largely foreign to her. She is not immune to misjudgment, though: she pegged Katsuki Bakugo as a lone wolf and then watched him lead his team to a win. Official profile material calls her somewhat detached, notes that she ran with the gyaru crowd in middle school, which her later dye job may nod back to, and says the boys in her class exasperate her because they think less strategically. She likes dinosaurs.

Lizard Tail Splitter breaks her into as many as fifty separate pieces, each steered remotely and able to fly at speed. Destroyed fragments grow back. The catch is a clock: parts kept away from her too long simply stop, then have to regenerate, and reattaching them before that happens resets the limit. Regrowth drains her badly, so she recalls what she can rather than spend the energy. Scattered, she is nearly impossible to hurt, and the individual pieces make small, awkward targets even though each is weak on its own. Detaching parts of her eyes gives her several viewpoints at once, which makes her an obvious pick for scouting and long-range work. Part-Powered Punch and Castaway are her named finishers.

One of only two recommended entrants in her class, she is widely regarded by her peers as 1-B's most gifted student, able to run several things at once without losing the thread. Neito Monoma argued that her invulnerability while split made her a match for Katsuki Bakugo; the Joint Training Battle's fourth round settled that in Katsuki's favor, though her standing among the class's elite survived the loss. Her plans are the real weapon, layered setups that account for an opponent's formation and strengths and try to leave no clean escape. Where she struggles is when the opening move fails and improvisation is required, a gap that helped cost her team that round. The Magic Hero Majestic took notice of her and brought her on as an intern, sharpening her prediction and her efficiency. Eight years on from the Final War she holds the No. 22 spot on the hero rankings.
