Takuto is one of the Masegaki Primary School children handed to four license candidates as a live test of their people skills. Bird-faced, hero-obsessed, and quick to tears, he opens his acquaintance with Katsuki Bakugo by informing him that his grenade gauntlets look lame.
Takuto's face juts forward into something close to a beak, and his eyes sit toward the sides of his head rather than the front. His teeth come to sharp points. Light-colored hair spikes up above all of it, and he is small even for a child his age.
Heroes light him up. Takuto is a bundle of enthusiasm on the subject and eager about most things, though the flip side of that openness is a thin skin. Being shouted at reduces him to tears without much delay.
Takuto's class was drafted as the examination itself when Camie Utsushimi, Inasa Yoarashi, Shoto Todoroki, and Katsuki Bakugo came back for a second attempt at a Provisional Hero License. All four had failed the first exam, and for every one of them but Camie the reason was an inability to deal with other people, so a room full of small children was the point.
Gang Orca laid out the terms, and the students came charging into the hall. Takuto made straight for Katsuki and told him to his face that his hand grenades were lame. Katsuki's response was to erupt at him, at which the boy burst into tears and fled.
