Those Who Defend, Those Who Violate

Crossing the sea toward the Coffin in the Sky, Deku is warned by Yoichi's vestige that his brother's Quirks have surged, and objects appear on the horizon ahead of him. On the floating campus the situation is dire: Dynamight has no pulse, Phantom Thief cannot process it, Lemillion rages at his failure, and "Tomura" taunts Eraser Head while asking which hero wants to be the next present left for Deku. Best Jeanist threads fibers into the wound as the villain rips off Mirko's prosthetic arm, and she curses herself for not killing Tomura during the Jaku hospital raid. He tells her the blame is broader, that the hero ranks thinned and students were pushed to the front, and that Deku was right to try ending things before the villains could prepare.

At Kamino, Dabi is upright again with Onima in his grip, blazing after copying Shoto's Phosphor in the instant before Great Glacial Aegir dropped him. His flames now burn his body dark purple and set nearby heroes alight. Through a device in the Nomu's neck he contacts Skeptic, who has hijacked satellites and reports Endeavor's fight at the Gunga ruins, then floods the Coffin's generator and defenses with errors.

At the villa, Endeavor and Hawks watch All For One rebuild himself from ash, not merely healed but returned to his prime, the damage from All Might reversed. The round came from Kyudai Garaki, whose refinement of the final Rewind sample taken from Overhaul reproduces the Quirk wholesale rather than merely targeting a Quirk Factor. He left it with a recorded message and a new life support chamber in the cave hideout. The doctor's tape hopes the drug delivers his friend's dream as a last resort, knowing it will keep winding him back until he ceases to exist, and wishes his heart to hold nothing but hatred. All For One credits Endeavor for forcing out the trump card, lands behind the heroes, snatches scarves and capes off them to dress himself, and strips a heroine's Quirk before anyone reacts; Hawks pulls her clear. His true aim, he tells Hawks, is not One For All but the comic-book ambition of his childhood, to be the overpowering figure who ruins everyone's future, and with his dream already passed to "Tomura", all that remains is clearing threats and reaching his successor.

In Washington, Timothy Agpar presses the President to strike "Tomura" now and is refused, on the grounds of the Tiamat fallout and reports of an unkillable enemy. Realizing the plan is appeasement, as other nations have chosen, Timothy argues that kneeling costs everything at once, produces a childhood photo of Star and Stripe taken when she met David Shield and All Might, and asks what her death meant. Children grow up looking to adults, he says, and adults owe them the same faith in return.

Back on the Coffin, Edgeshot threads his whole body into Dynamight's chest, telling Mirko to break free and attack at any cost. Using Zenith he intends to replace the missing heart and lung tissue and restart the boy's circulation from inside; Best Jeanist, his old classmate, calls it suicide, and Edgeshot accepts it before dissolving. Mirko kicks free, paying for it when a generated mouth bites off the one forearm she had left, and lands a Luna Rush that draws real blood, and "Tomura" shivers, recognizing fear for the first time. Tenko's worst memories tear through him, and he sheds the finger mass for a compact, muscular form armored in giant fingers, his left arm colossal and bearing heads of his dead family. Still fast, he flattens Mirko, Suneater and Nejire Chan and charges the surgery. Lemillion, out of options and remembering Sir Nighteye's insistence that laughter must balance sorrow, phases up into the villain's face with a bad pun and his backside on full display. It works for the two seconds Mandalay needs: the barrier drops, and Deku hangs from the poles on Blackwhip with Faux 100 Percent charged, then dives into a kick that sends "Tomura" spinning.

All For One restores his prime body with Garaki's modified Quirk-Destroying Drug, which will eventually rewind him out of existence entirely.

Edgeshot sacrifices himself inside Dynamight's chest to rebuild his heart and lungs, and Mirko lands the first real damage on "Tomura" with Luna Rush.

"Tomura" molts into his armored form, Timothy Agpar fails to move the U.S. President, and Deku finally reaches the Coffin in the Sky to open his fight.

Adapted from a page of Chapter 357 plus Chapters 363 through 366. All For One's comic-book inspiration is illustrated with volumes of Captain Hero in flashback, and the Washington establishing shot shows a woman on a ruined street rather than the manga's imminent execution.

The U.S. President keeps a partially visible face here instead of a full silhouette, and David Shield appears in full in the Star and Stripe photograph rather than being cropped to a shoulder. Sir Nighteye's recalled words end before Lemillion emerges rather than continuing into the distraction, both characters' reactions run slightly longer, and the Deku reunion is extended to show the villain's full response and the whole opening attack.
