Shiketsu High School

Shiketsu High School sits in Hyogo and is the one Hero Academy whose prestige matches U.A. High School's, holding the West while U.A. holds the East. Its name inverts the kanji of kesshi, a Japanese word for hero, the same joke that produced U.A.'s name.

Tradition weighs on the curriculum. Students learn to treat the hero obligation as binding and to hold their dignity at all times, and the uniform hats stay on during work because a student represents the school and its values wherever they go. That uniform pairs white collared shirts and dark trousers with the blue and orange hat, plus a dark jacket carrying the Shiketsu logo on the collar. Teachers rather than students choose class representatives, weighing grades and overall conduct, and the school forbids relationships within the student body.

Five Shiketsu students entered the Provisional Hero License Exam after All Might's retirement, led by second-year class representative Nagamasa Mora. Four were second-years, and only Inasa Yoarashi, a first-year, was strong enough to qualify. The U.A. students recognized him as the boy who topped their own entrance exam and then turned the school down to come here. Inasa cleared the first phase before anyone else, eliminating over a hundred rivals to advance. Seiji Shishikura set about thinning the field with his Quirk, never prioritized the actual test, and was knocked out by Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, and Katsuki Bakugo.

The rest passed, Camie included, though she was not acting like herself and drew a scolding from Nagamasa before disappearing partway through the second phase. Nagamasa led his classmates through the rescue exercises and corrected Inasa's mishandling of an injured civilian while Seiji and a teacher watched from the stands, discussing how the Hero Killer and All Might had shaped the exam. When Gang Orca invaded, Nagamasa sent Inasa after the pseudo villains; he picked a fight with Shoto Todoroki instead and both ended up immobilized. Only Nagamasa and one unnamed student are known to have passed. Inasa and Camie went to a remedial course, where they worked with Shoto and Katsuki to win over the difficult children of Masegaki Primary School. Once Camie's impostor came to light afterward, Shiketsu and U.A. agreed to build a close relationship against the threat to their students.

Himiko Toga's impersonation pushed Shiketsu into tightening its security before any other hero school did. After the Paranormal Liberation War it became a refuge for civilians and for students' families sheltering from villains and from the anti-hero protesters tearing through society, and Principal Nezu revealed that Shiketsu is tied into U.A.'s security, with U.A.'s shelters able to move between safe locations including Shiketsu. When a protester suggested Izuku Midoriya attend Shiketsu rather than return to U.A., another answered that the people there would refuse him just the same.

Tasked during the Final War with moving U.A.'s evacuees through the tunnels linking the two schools, Shiketsu found that nobody came, thanks to Skeptic's interference. Assuming something had gone wrong, the hero course and several alumni went to the fighting instead, reaching the Gunga Mountain Ruins as a swarm of Twice Doubles overran the heroes. Camie's glamour saved Hawks from All For One's attack, and Inasa's whirlwind swallowed dozens of Doubles and turned the battle. Seiji, whose father All For One killed during the Tartarus break, admitted he wanted revenge but refused to surrender to hatred, choosing his father's example of protection. With Deku and Tomura gone from the U.A. cage, the students focused on subduing Himiko and her Doubles and on massing ranged fire against All For One.

Nagamasa Mora, the second-year class representative, leads the school's exam group and is one of only two Shiketsu students known to earn a provisional license on the first attempt. Inasa Yoarashi is the standout first-year, strong enough to top U.A.'s entrance exam before rejecting the place.

Camie Utsushimi and Seiji Shishikura round out the recurring students. Seiji's link to the school runs through his father, who worked at Tartarus, since Shiketsu issues hats closely resembling the ones the prison's employees wear.
