Villa Raid Team

Once the Hero Public Safety Commission learned where the Paranormal Liberation Front kept its main hideouts and what it intended to do, the response was built at a scale nothing had required before. Two forces went out at once, and the Villa Raid Team was one of them, with the Hospital Raid Team handling the other target. Edgeshot took command of the villa operation.

The enemy justified the numbers. Thousands of Front members were expected, including the organization's lieutenants and Gigantomachia himself, so the roster leaned on some of the strongest heroes in Japan, several of them ranked inside the top ten and capable of dropping multiple opponents in a single blow. Countering that many different powers also demanded breadth rather than pure strength, which is why the raid included students among the professionals.

Behind the main push sat the Villa Backup Team, staffed largely with trainees and positioned to make sure nobody slipped out the back.

Intelligence from Hawks gave the heroes their window. The Front's leadership had scheduled a meeting inside the Assembly Hall, part of the Underground Sanctuary beneath the village, and everyone in the organization was expected to attend, which meant a single strike could sweep the whole membership. Gigantomachia was down there too, but the planners knew he would sit still unless Tomura Shigaraki personally ordered otherwise, and Tomura was eighty kilometers away.

The attack landed on schedule and caught the Front flat, with many villains beaten before they could organize a response. Smaller hero units sealed every hidden entrance to the sanctuary, trapping most of the enemy underground. The Front eventually steadied itself and pushed back harder, though the heroes kept the initiative.

Everything changed when Tomura called for Gigantomachia and sent the original League of Villains along with him. The giant obeyed, and the raid team could not hold the line against him. Some heroes broke off to chase while the rest stayed on the Front.

The battle itself was won: a combined total of 16,929 Front members were taken into custody, with 132 getting away. The cost was heavy all the same. Gigantomachia was not stopped in time and reached Tomura, leveling everything along his route, so on top of the hero casualties suffered during the fighting there were hundreds of civilians injured or killed.

Edgeshot, whose real name is Shinya Kamihara, led the team and its assault on the villa.

Hawks, working from inside the enemy organization, supplied the intelligence the entire operation depended on and fought Twice and Dabi during the raid. Tsukuyomi, one of the trainees present, also faced Dabi.

Beyond those names, the force drew on many of Japan's highest ranked professionals, and its Backup Team was composed mainly of students held in reserve to catch escaping Front members. The team is now inactive.
