American-made prototype gear that braces the wearer's whole body against its own output. Toshinori Yagi bought a set before the borders closed and handed it to Izuku Midoriya, who has pushed One For All through it far past anything his old arm bracers could survive.
The Mid-Gauntlet was developed in the United States, distributed by a supplier who is never named. Toshinori Yagi bought a set before trade across the border shut down, intending it for Izuku Midoriya. Four prototypes were made in total, and Izuku owns all of them.
The concept behind the design is reinforcement of the entire frame, so that raw power can be spent without wrecking the person spending it.
On Izuku the gauntlets take over the role his Arm Bracers used to fill, shielding his arms while he fights. The difference is margin. He can run One For All at percentages that would once have cost him the limb, and his arms hold. Support extends past the arms and across the rest of him, and two more gauntlets are strapped to his legs, though those never appear on the page.
They remain prototypes, and Toshinori was blunt about the ceiling: a full 100% would shatter them. Mei Hatsume later explained that the compression mechanism inside runs on a material called Condenium.
Izuku Midoriya is the only wearer. He was using them against Goto Imasuji, striking the finishing blow once the Villain had been worn down. His fight with Kaina Tsutsumi ruined the left gauntlet, leaving it good for nothing.
Back at U.A., he brought the wreck to Mei Hatsume, but the damage ran too deep to repair and she lacked the resources to build a fresh one. She made him a replica of her own instead, folded together with new Air Force Gloves. The right gauntlet lasted until Tomura Shigaraki, cracking apart during the fight and failing outright once Izuku took that arm to 100% of One For All.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Izuku Midoriya's Mid-Gauntlet braces his arm so he can push One For All to output levels that would otherwise destroy the limb, taking over the protective role his old Arm Bracers used to fill.
Izuku Midoriya's left Mid-Gauntlet was ruined beyond repair in his fight with Kaina Tsutsumi, and the right gauntlet, later rebuilt by Mei Hatsume as a replica, was destroyed fighting Tomura Shigaraki when Izuku pushed that arm to 100 percent of One For All.
Toshinori Yagi bought the Mid-Gauntlet prototypes in the United States before trade across the border shut down and gave them to Izuku Midoriya.
According to Mei Hatsume, the Mid-Gauntlet's compression mechanism runs on a material called Condenium.
When Izuku Midoriya's original left Mid-Gauntlet could not be repaired, Mei Hatsume built him a replica folded together with new Air Force Gloves.
