ItemDenki Kaminari's electricity is strong but indiscriminate, and everyone near him pays for that. The Sharpshooting Gear is the answer U.A.'s support staff built him: a rig that plants markers on chosen targets so his discharge travels somewhere on purpose instead of everywhere at once.
Overview
The Sharpshooting Gear is Support Equipment assembled by Higari Maijima, better known as Power Loader, working alongside Mei Hatsume. It arrives as part of a costume revision for Denki Kaminari, who went to the pair asking for some way to point his Electrification at a specific spot rather than flood a room with current and drop everyone standing in it.
Function
Three pieces make up the rig. A Shooter with three prongs straps to Denki's forearm, blue glasses sit over his eyes, and the orange markers travel in clips colored yellow. The disks the Shooter launches are called Pointers, and they stick fast wherever they land.
Once a Pointer is planted, any discharge Denki releases from within ten meters bends toward it, narrowing what would be a wide burst into a straight concentrated line, the technique known as Target Electo. When several Pointers are in play at once, a dial on the Shooter picks which one receives the charge, and the glasses let him fix exactly where each marker sits.
