Chapter 157

Reeling in Mirio's cape, Deku gets an arm around Eri and swears he is not letting go a second time. Overhaul, furious, orders her handed back and comes at him, and Izuku, hanging in midair, cannot maneuver. He remembers Mirio asking what kind of hero he wants to be, and the answer arrives: one who erases everyone's fears, who always wins, who saves every person there is. Resolve trips One For All to a hundred percent without his meaning it. He winds up a kick as stone pillars close around him, then vanishes, and the ceiling blows apart in a shockwave.

The wind pressure of a full-power One For All has launched him clean out of the basement, the same principle behind the New Hampshire Smash that All Might uses. His legs are wrecked for it. Underground, Ryukyu's team has no idea what just happened, and Overhaul rises injured from the blast. Desperate to recover Eri and finish what the boss's ambition started, he turns the Quirk on Rikiya Katsukame and merges with the man.

Ryukyu readies herself, but Sir Nighteye, being tended by Froppy, tells her not to bother: Overhaul is going after Izuku, and he means to take the girl and kill the boy. Uravity moves to help and drops, her stamina gone to Rikiya's Quirk. Ryukyu refuses to let it happen regardless, and Sir Nighteye convinces her the newly fused enemy is beyond her group. Ochaco will not sit still either, so Sir Nighteye asks Tsuyu to look after Mirio while Ochaco and Ryukyu carry him topside.

Izuku lands intact, which makes no sense until he realizes the legs are not broken at all. Every injury is gone despite the hundred percent output, and the explanation is Eri. Then the recoil arrives all at once. Overhaul turns up saying the girl has switched her power on with no idea how to switch it off, and throws pillars that Izuku evades. The fusion looks like a dragon carved from stone, and Overhaul speaks from its jaws: Rewind works on people, and depending on her control it could drag a person back into a monkey, or further still, into nothing at all. He calls it a curse, warns that holding her is suicide, and demands her back on the grounds that only his Quirk can stop hers.

Izuku will not. He felt what happened the instant his legs broke, reverted before pain ever registered, and he considers the Quirk gentle, which stuns Eri to hear. If damage and recoil are being undone at that speed, there is nothing left to ration and no reason to fear being erased. He asks Eri to lend him her strength and opens Full Cowl - 100%.

Izuku unconsciously reaches One For All at one hundred percent and blasts himself and Eri out of the basement.

Overhaul merges with Rikiya Katsukame, taking a stone dragon form, and pursues them to the surface.

Sir Nighteye states his Foresight showed Overhaul killing Izuku, and convinces Ryukyu's group not to intervene.

Eri's Rewind heals Izuku's broken legs, and Overhaul explains how far the power can push a body backward.

Izuku refuses to return Eri, calls her Quirk kind, and activates Full Cowl - 100%.

Infinite 100 Percent is chapter 157 of My Hero Academia, written and drawn by Kohei Horikoshi. It was published October 23, 2017 in issue 47 of that year, runs 17 pages, and closes out Volume 17 territory in the Shie Hassaikai arc.

Eri, Deku and Overhaul share the cover. Set at the Shie Hassaikai Compound, the chapter features Foresight, Dragon, Rewind, Overhaul and One For All, with Shoot Style: New Hampshire Smash and Full Cowl - 100% as its super moves. Episode 76 adapts it. The author comment mentions hot eye masks received from the Kao company.
