Summary

Yuga Aoyama is still watching for Izuku when he turns up with the Ectoplasm clone in tow. Asked about the injuries, Izuku blames a fall, and the clone points out that he ought to wash his face before going out there, since a filthy performer worries an audience, though there is still time enough. In the crowd, Shota tells Present Mic to get back to patrolling and notes that some of U.A.'s older students have come to sneer. Katsuki hollers for the show to begin and hits the drums, with Momo, Denki, Fumikage, and Kyoka picking up behind him. The opening is loud and bright, and the class has the audience pumped in short order. For the finale several of them are launched skyward, their Quirks combine into a dazzling close, and Ochaco's Zero Gravity lifts part of the crowd into the fun.

As the cheering runs on, Kyoka remembers announcing her hero plans to her parents. Both backed her without hesitation, telling her the choice was hers and explaining that they became musicians simply because they enjoyed music. Her mother's advice was that any long career has to be measured by what it brings other people, and that on that count musicians and heroes are not so different. Katsuki closes with a final beat, the room erupts, the critical upperclassmen included, and Mirio takes quiet pleasure in seeing Eri smile at last, free for a moment of the past that tormented her.
