Chapter 192

Three days into his hospital stay, Enji Todoroki is treated by Recovery Girl. Surgery combined with her healing preserved both his eye and his life, though a heavy scar now runs down his face on the left. Leaving with Keigo, he waves off the younger man's apology, calling the injuries his own responsibility, then asks whether running into High-End was genuinely coincidence. Keigo, thrown by the question, pins the attack on how visible the two of them were in the area.

They separate at a train station entrance, and as Enji waves back, Keigo revisits the Commission meeting that turned him into a double agent, along with the incident that first exposed the strength of his wings: as a small child, he pulled a family clear of a car accident at motorway speed.

At home, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto are partway through a meal. Fuyumi greets her father brightly and congratulates him on beating High-End. Shoto, slurping soba, offers a flat compliment on the new scar. As the two brothers keep eating without interest, Fuyumi blurts out that the three of them had agreed to greet him properly, then announces to them that the man is working to face what he did and to care about them now, and that they should bury their hatred, which Enji notes he can hear perfectly well.

Natsuo stands to leave. Enji stops him and invites him to speak whatever is on his mind, and the invitation opens the floodgates. Natsuo tells him that whatever forgiveness their mother and sister seem to have extended, the man in front of him is unchanged, the one who ignored his kids and left them to listen while their mother screamed and their brother cried. He brings up Toya, and insists that beating one powerful villain does not settle the account.

Enji answers that he means to confront everything behind him and make it right. Repelled and startled, Natsuo walks out, thanking Fuyumi for the meal on his way. She unravels, going back over everything that led to this and telling Shoto she had honestly believed progress was being made. Shoto replies that his brother has never boiled over that way in front of him. On the television, witness testimony from the battle plays, one segment lingering on the boy whose shouting set the crowd cheering, and Enji, remembering him, realizes how much that encouragement meant. Shoto grants that Endeavor the hero is an amazing one, says he agrees with every word Natsuo threw, and adds that he is not done watching to learn which sort of father the man turns into, since a small push can remake a person entirely. Enji recalls his brief exchange with All Might after the retirement, hardens his resolve toward his family's future, offers Fuyumi an apology, and concedes that he handled Natsuo badly.

At Heights Alliance, Izuku returns from One For All training so exhausted he falls asleep the moment he reaches his room. He dreams of Nana Shimura and the earlier holders, recognizes the sensation from what happened at the Sports Festival months earlier, and this time picks out One For All's earliest holder, the brother of All For One.

Endeavor keeps his left eye thanks to surgery plus Recovery Girl's healing, though the scar stays. Hawks' assignment is top secret and he can disclose nothing about it. Natsuo confronts his father over his abusive past and over isolating Shoto from his siblings, and names their older brother, Toya Todoroki, in connection with an unexplained incident. Shoto stops short of forgiveness while acknowledging that his father is changing. Izuku dreams his way back to where One For All began.

Nineteen pages, released July 30, 2018 in issue 35 and collected in volume 21. The adaptation places pages sixteen through nineteen in Episode 88 and the first fifteen in Episode 90. The cover assembles a large ensemble that includes Izuku, Ochaco, Shoto, Toshinori, Aizawa, Katsuki, Tsuyu, Momo, Kyoka, Hawks, and Endeavor. Settings cover the Todoroki Abode, U.A. High School, and the vestige realm, and every previous One For All holder appears in the closing dream. Horikoshi's author comment celebrates four years of serialization in Jump.
