Chapter 203

Away from U.A., Endeavor stares at a phone screen that refuses to light up. His message to his son goes unanswered, and the memory of how he raised the boy surfaces along with an uncomfortable admission: he ran roughshod over what Shoto himself wanted. His sidekicks can only watch, baffled, as flames boil off him and he shouts his son's name.

At Ground Gamma the round is still live. The Class 1-B side hesitates over what its rivals intend, and while Pony Tsunotori, Juzo Honenuki and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu bicker about it, Shoto answers for them with a sheet of ice. Tenya lets the freeze do its work, then triggers Recipro Burst and closes on Tetsutetsu. Juzo turns the trap to slush with Softening and frees his whole team in one stroke.

From there the counterattack unravels 1-A fast. Mashirao Ojiro loses his footing on piping Juzo had already loosened, and Sen Kaibara bores into him with drilling arms. Tenya keeps covering ground even across softened pipe, so Juzo simply sinks him into the earth and sets it solid around his limbs. Pony sends two flying horns to shove Mezo Shoji aside and rides the other pair to fire Tetsutetsu through Shoto's defensive wall. With every member of the team pinned, buried or otherwise occupied, 1-A is overrun.

Juzo lets his guard drop once Tenya is caged and asks why he burned Recipro Burst so early when the cooldown is punishing. Tenya points out how long it has been since the two classes last measured each other, and, drawing on the image of Ingenium forever sprinting toward people who need him, reveals what he has been holding back: Recipro Turbo.

Endeavor's attempt to reach Shoto is left on read, and his frustration boils over in front of his own staff.

Pony Tsunotori's Horn Cannon and Sen Kaibara's Gyrate are both put on display for the first time.
