Chapter 231

Gigantomachia's first act on waking is to test the air for Tomura Shigaraki. The scent lands, and he runs.

Osaka has Hawks on a rooftop with a phone and a large bag, trying without success to confirm the meeting he arranged with Dabi. The Hero Network has gone quiet on the League of Villains, which reads as wrong given how the group normally behaves. He flies past a billboard covering another oddity: Best Jeanist has vanished, and not even his sidekicks can say where.

A memory fills the gap. Dabi had called with one last unnamed assignment, the price of proving himself to the League. Hawks then visited Best Jeanist at his apartment. Asked how he was doing, Best Jeanist said much better than before, though he admitted the Kamino Incident cost him a lung, and that even Recovery Girl cannot restore what is already gone. He planned to tell the public soon. Hawks called the turn of events unfortunate and drew a feather blade.

In the present, he tells himself not to sell a man's resolve short when that man is on a mission, and takes hold of the bag.

Deika City has Dabi still locked against Geten while Tomura and Spinner cross the streets under fire. The tower is the target, and the Meta Liberation Army keeps thickening between them and it. A massive volley nearly lands before ten copies of Twice intercept it.

Neither Spinner nor Tomura expected Double to work on its own user. A clone tells Tomura that maybe he can be worth something now. Tomura puts the copies to work opening a lane to the city tower, where Trumpet said Re-Destro and Giran are holed up. He had treated that tip as possible bait, but the defenses stiffen with every block, which settles the question.

His plan is to leave the rabble to Gigantomachia, with one condition: Re-Destro dies by League hands. The clones agree and tell him to save his strength for that showdown while they flatten Liberation goons on the way. Spinner half seriously wonders whether Twice should simply handle everything. Tomura says the effort is really about how much the man likes Giran, and adds that he will not let the Liberation Army get away with toying with people's hearts.

Koku Hanabata then surfaces with a speech that drives Deika's citizens to fight the League harder and rougher, and Spinner peels off to deal with him. Up in the tower, one clone reaches the tower's top deck, where Re-Destro and Giran wait, and starts in on Re-Destro's thinning hair. Irritated, Re-Destro says the puns fall short of Miyashita's comedy as a dark blotch creeps over his face.

Gigantomachia sets out hunting for the League of Villains.

Best Jeanist is revealed to have lost a lung at Kamino, and he has since gone missing with Hawks involved.

Hawks makes contact with Dabi about a meeting.

A Twice clone gets inside the tower and confronts Re-Destro.

Path ran on June 10, 2019 in issue 28, spans fifteen pages, and sits in Volume 24 with Gigantomachia on the cover. The Japanese title is 道, read Michi.

The anime splits the material: Episode 102 covers pages two through six, while Episode 110 handles the first page along with pages six through fifteen. Osaka City and Deika City are the settings, and Incite, Double, Blueflame, Ice Ply, Fierce Wings and Mole all appear. The Dabi versus Geten and Twice versus Skeptic bouts continue inside the Revival Celebration.
