Chapter 26 of the Vigilantes spin-off ends Kuin Hachisuka and reveals what Knuckleduster's shopping list was really for. Everything he ordered from Giran turns out to be the toolkit for pulling his daughter back from a body the bees had already claimed.
A flashback opens on Giran taking a call from one of his best customers, Knuckleduster, who orders his usual painkillers, an assortment of chemicals he describes as pest control supplies, and one extra item.
In the present, Kuin Hachisuka is down on the ground, spitting curses at the man who fathered her host, Tamao Oguro. Knuckleduster tells her plainly that blood has stopped reaching her brain and the body is finished. The only escape would be shocking the heart with her own claws, so he pins her arm underfoot and denies her the chance. Tamao's body goes still, Kuin's eyes roll back, and the swarm pours out through the left eye socket.
Knuckleduster produces a small sharp instrument, works it into the empty socket, and draws out the Queen Bee, which he throws aside. He then tosses a canister that vents a pheromone blend to lure the workers back, sparks it, and incinerates the swarm in the blast. The final item on that order to Giran was a taser built into one housing with a defibrillator. He feeds the leads onto Tamao's chest, shocks her heart, and starts CPR on his daughter.
Down at street level, police cuff Teruo Unagisawa, who watches the rooftop show with visible distress. Eraser Head tells the officers he will keep an eye on him a while longer until he settles, remarking that the reopening event is just reaching the good part. Above them the crowd erupts as the FeatherHATS finish their set.
Naomasa Tsukauchi comes to question Eraser Head about the instant villain outbreak. Eraser doubts Teruo was an Instant Villain at all, since no injector was on him, though he did notice a bee near the man. Naomasa notes that a great many civilians reported bee stings during the outbreak.
A scarred stranger in a police worker's uniform strolls the street with one hand pocketed, humming a little tune about data and bees while flipping a small plastic capsule up and catching it. Spotting one of Kuin's surviving bees wobble past him, he snatches it from the air in a blur and seals it inside.
Knuckleduster is exposed as a regular buyer from Giran, and his order is revealed to be the equipment he needs to kill Kuin and revive Tamao.
Kuin Hachisuka dies, the Queen Bee is extracted, and Knuckleduster resuscitates Tamao Oguro.
Number 6, the scarred man, appears for the first time and captures a surviving bee.
The chapter closes out the Vs. Queen Bee arc's decisive confrontation and is written by Hideyuki Furuhashi with art by Betten Court.
The scarred man's blink-fast capture of the bee is an early display of his Overclock Quirk, and the captured Bee Pop specimen carries Kuin's work forward past her death.
It was collected in volume four and adapted as Episode 12 of the Vigilantes anime.
