Chapter 264

The heroes tighten their grip on the Gunga Mountain Villa, shutting off escape routes and communications to guarantee the outcome. Beneath the mansion, inside the Underground Sanctuary Assembly Hall, Re-Destro and Trumpet are briefing the Front's rank and file when word arrives that every route out and every line of communication has been severed except those at the mansion itself. Re-Destro's Stress climbs as the news lands, irritation rising at the heroes for locating his base.

Above, Cementoss keeps carving the villa apart, flushing followers into the open. Chargebolt pours out electricity to hold the crowd back without any sign of flagging, and Amplivolt, recognizing his Electrification, orders every other electric-type villain to bury him under a far bigger output. Before they can, Edgeshot streaks through them with Thousand Sheet Pierce, punching tiny holes in their lungs to steal their breath. Midnight and Kamui Woods follow up to bind them, while Mudman and Shemage of Class 1-B use their Quirks to bog down whoever is left.

Deeper inside the collapsing mansion, Hawks has Twice held down under a mass of feathers. He explains how he got the hideout's location to the heroes while destroying the trackers on his wings, and admits he had to watch both the villains' numbers and Twice himself, because Double is that dangerous. Earning Twice's trust, he says, took almost nothing, and he intends to bring him in once the war ends.

Twice's memory turns to every betrayal he has lived through, especially bringing Overhaul to the hideout, an introduction that cost Magne her life and Mr. Compress his left arm. He breaks down, understanding that trusting easily has once again ruined the people he cares about. He tells Hawks that what drew him in was sympathy for the hero's wish to live freely, and that having nobody trust you is a sad way to exist. Hawks thanks him, tells him he can start over once he answers for his crimes, offers to help him do it, and explains why: he is a good person.

The words detonate. Twice erupts, rejecting all of it, telling the winged hero he is finished caring about the system and hates heroes, and refusing to let anyone exploit his kindness again. He fires off Sad Man's Parade, set on protecting the League's happiness, and Hawks braces himself with a sigh to fight someone he thought of as a good friend. Twice screams and the battle starts. Elsewhere, Dabi moves toward them grinning, aware now that Hawks was the traitor, thinking to Twice that the blame lies with the heroes rather than with him.

The heroes cut every escape route and communication line from the Gunga Mountain Villa, leaving the mansion as the only way out.

Hawks and Twice come to blows despite Hawks' reluctance.

Dabi heads for their location, having worked out Hawks' betrayal.

The chapter continues the villa raid team's fight against the Paranormal Liberation Front and starts Hawks vs. Twice and Dabi.

Its title nods to My Hero One's Justice, the fighting game whose sequel launched during the week this installment ran.
