Summary

Airborne, Tomura works out that Search banked everything Ragdoll ever gathered, including her read on Deku at the training camp, all of it now his to view. Endeavor, still in pursuit, asks what Deku means by that and is told the explanation can wait. Cloud cover is hiding the villain, and Deku asks whether he can be redirected. Endeavor is about to say there is no time when Tomura touches down, and he throws fire that the villain slips past without breaking stride. Reporting a southwest heading, he hangs up as Deku promises to buy time for the evacuation. Tomura, who heard all of it, decides the chatter needs handling. Endeavor warns that Super Regeneration makes this a different enemy than the one they fought before, and privately understands that Deku is the target and now in real danger.

Katsuki has already overheard and says they need to draw him in closer. Asked why he is coming, he answers that nobody else can get through to a crowd fast enough in a mess like this, and when Deku thanks him he replies that Deku is not the protagonist. He has his own score to settle too, still carrying guilt that his kidnapping cost All Might his career. One For All is only the bait, he says, and his plan is foolproof, so Deku is not to overexert himself. Clocking Deku's Full Cowl at a steady 30 percent, Katsuki has him push it to 45 to spread the burden at the moment of impact, thinking about how he matched every gain his rival made through Endeavor's internship and All Might's training while Deku keeps climbing. He is finished losing this way, and says so.

Tomura pairs Air Cannon with a Quirk called Radio Waves and jams every communicator, then catches up to Deku and demands One For All with his hand outstretched. Deku sees the same vision of death he saw at Kamino, himself and Katsuki both crumbling to dust. Gran Torino sweeps in, grabs both boys, and flies the opposite way, explaining he heard the words too and knew something was coming. Facing Tomura now is suicide, he says, because touching so much as the falling debris means instant death, and there are other heroes left who can fight. Ryukyu proves it, raking Tomura with her claws; his touch fails to destroy her and she knocks him skyward. Eraser Head arrives asking why the two were so close and wondering whether the villain is after them, thinking of Crust's sacrifice and of Oboro, and tells Tomura to keep away from his students, revealing Erasure as the reason the Decay went quiet. Tomura calls the effort rather cool of him.
