Chapter 336

Drills carry on across the U.A. grounds. Katsuki Bakugo describes what his internship taught him about storing power and letting it go on cue, though his focus has shifted to hoarding sweat so that Cluster can fire a rapid series of smaller detonations instead of one enormous blast. He keeps his winter gear on to perspire faster. Shoto Todoroki is chasing a separate goal. Command of his left side finally matches what he has always had on the right, so the work ahead is fusing both halves into a single body that Dabi's fire cannot burn through.

Denki Kaminari floats the idea to Minoru Mineta that the next round should go easier, given that Tomura Shigaraki and All For One are both weakened and Gigantomachia remains sedated. Katsuki punctures that in three parts. Investigators have found labs and safehouses before and still never cornered All For One, who is unbeatable at staying hidden. Momo Yaoyorozu supplies the second point: the enemy they fought last time was unfinished, and barely half the hero force is left. Katsuki's final point is timing, since even with Search destroyed the enemy still picks the hour, which is exactly why every possible ally is being contacted.

Izuku Midoriya wants the heroes to dictate the terms of the clash and announces he will rejoin the search, only for Tenya Ida to correct the pronoun: the class goes with him. Allowed a short walk, Izuku passes through a campus where heroes, students and evacuees mix far more easily since Ochaco Uraraka's speech. Denki observes that their cornered enemy is still the one wearing a grin.

Out in the forested part of the grounds, Toru Hagakure is shadowing a classmate whose mood collapsed after the Paranormal Liberation War and who has not smiled once since Izuku came back. She catches two voices urging someone to obey a fresh order the way he always has, and finds a weeping Yuga Aoyama being told by his parents that refusal means death for all of them. The traitor has a name at last. His parents spiral, reminding Yuga how cleanly he passed on the training camp location without being caught, insisting they only ever wanted him happy and feared he would be shunned for being born Quirkless. Had they known the cost, they say, they never would have gone through with it, but accepting a Quirk from All For One bound them to him permanently.

Yuga speaks about the guilt crushing him and the effort of hiding it, and about believing the family was free when All For One fell at Kamino. A noise in the trees interrupts them: Toru has returned with Izuku, who heard enough from her to come looking. The parents play innocent. Yuga, remembering how he alone had stayed silent while the others were retrieving Izuku, listens as Izuku explains he noticed the gloom and came because something seemed wrong. Broken, Yuga admits he fed the League information for both the U.S.J. attack and the training camp raid, and calls himself a despicable villain.

Class 1-A's independent training continues, with Katsuki building toward a barrage-style application of Cluster and Shoto working to unify his two sides. Gigantomachia remains bound and sedated, which the chapter confirms.

Yuga Aoyama is exposed as the U.A. traitor. Born without a Quirk, he received Navel Laser because his parents struck a bargain with All For One in the hope of securing him a happy life, a deal that left the family permanently bound to obey or face lethal consequences. Information he passed along made the U.S.J. attack possible, and he later gave up where the summer camp was being held. A fresh order reaches the family while Toru listens in. Toru and Izuku confront him, and he confesses through tears.

The chapter draws a deliberate parallel between Yuga and Izuku, since both entered the world Quirkless and later carried a power their bodies were never built for.
