Chapter 354

A flashback to the planning stage lays out the strategy. Talking it through with Best Jeanist, Hawks identifies the mask keeping All For One alive as the weak point worth attacking, a conclusion drawn from the Tartarus data Stain handed over, which showed the villain hauling his life support rig out with him. Swarming him with bodies would normally be the obvious answer, but a man who can strip Quirks off anyone he touches only gets stronger the more targets he is given. So the assignment goes to two people: Hawks and Endeavor, hitting as hard and as fast as they can manage.

In the present the pair close in. All For One fires razor blades, Endeavor smothers them behind a Hell's Curtain, and Hawks drives his Fierce Wings through the gap. The villain slips clear and needles Hawks about it, pointing out that even Recovery Girl could not restore his wings and that his current speed is borrowed from prosthetics. Hawks keeps the fight airborne on purpose, since letting All For One reach the ground would mean shock waves tearing through the rest of the heroes the way Kamino did. Endeavor lands a Vanishing Fist; the Hardflame Fan meant to stop it starts letting heat through, and Impact Recoil fails to bounce it back. All For One asks whether their timing is off and whether Endeavor's heart is really in this, but Endeavor notes they are drawing blood, and that unlike Tomura this body has no Hyper Regeneration to fall back on.

So All For One changes weapons. He gestures at the heroes and students fighting below, all of them locked into their own battles, and suggests Endeavor's attention is elsewhere, perhaps on how his masterpiece finished off his failed experiment. Hawks tells him to shut it out, invoking the price All Might paid at Kamino for listening, but Endeavor cannot look away. The villain twists harder, admitting a long fascination with Endeavor's warped hunger for power, saying he plants seeds wherever he goes, and then revealing his own hand in Toya's disappearance and the body that was never found. The blow lands. Hawks sees the trap spring and understands his own role: Endeavor is a man living to atone rather than a man who cut himself free, which is why he could never have been the one to beat Dabi, and why he needs backup now. Hawks shouts at him to remember the target, but Endeavor is roaring at All For One instead, and a Quirk combination clamps down on his side. As Endeavor drops, All For One turns on Hawks, asking Nagant's replacement whether he can dodge. The answer arrives from outside: Earphone Jack, riding Tsukuyomi in Black Fallen Angel, throws up a Heartbeat Wall and blocks the Air Cannon. Hawks warns them they will die here. Tsukuyomi answers that he knows he is no Endeavor, but he can still stand beside him. All For One writes them off as gnats orbiting One For All, jobber characters from the old comics he read whose only purpose was making the Demon Lord look strong. Earphone Jack tells him to save that line until he has actually won.

Hawks and Endeavor engage All For One as a pair by design, keeping him clear of the other fighters while working toward his life support helmet. Hawks' feathers were never fully recovered, so prosthetic ones make up part of his speed.

All For One's Hardflame Fan Quirk is identified, and it is confirmed he lacks the Hyper Regeneration that Tomura has. His taunt about Toya's disappearance, and his admission of a role in it, opens Endeavor up to a heavy counterattack. Earphone Jack and Tsukuyomi arrive in time to shield Hawks and commit themselves to the fight.

Kohei Horikoshi numbers this My Hero Academia installment 354 and titles it Oopsy!!. Fifteen pages long, it belongs to Volume 36 and ran in issue 26 of 2022, dated May 30. Hawks, Best Jeanist and All For One share the cover.

The chapter sits in the Final War arc and was adapted within Episode 147. It originally carried the title Oopsie Daisy!!, which was changed for the English volume edition. Horikoshi's author comment notes that adopting a cat improved his life considerably, with thanks to Café Komaneko.
