Summary

Phantom Thief cannot process what he is seeing, his mind snapping back to the bold promises he heard during the Joint Training Battle. Best Jeanist finds no pulse at all in a ruined chest, and Lemillion rages at his own failure to shield the boy. "Tomura Shigaraki" turns on Eraser Head, pinning the death on him for loading a student with responsibility while watching from the edges, then asks which Hero would like to go next.

His mass of fingers closes on Mirko, and he offers her up as another gift for Izuku. She answers that a little more speed during the Paranormal Liberation War would have ended him and spared all of this. The villain shrugs it off: plenty of Pros stood there that day, so the failure was shared, and a force that had to shove rookies onto the front line after so many desertions should expect casualties. For all their initiative, he says, they arrived short on numbers and short on planning.

Down in Kamino, Dabi stirs awake, torches Kido and Onima, and reveals that he copied Shoto's Phosphor in the instant before the ice took him. Watching this, Shoto recognizes that battle instinct and obsessive drive, not raw output alone, made his brother what he is. Skeptic, answering through a Near High-End Nomu, tells Dabi he is busy but passes along that Endeavor is at the Gunga Mountain Villa ruins fighting All For One.
