Chapter 376

Uravity and Froppy land at the Gunga Mountain Ruins to find a Twice Double shedding back into Himiko, who tells them the lovesick schoolgirl is gone. Between the Sad Man's Parade and Dabi's blue fire the heroes lose ground fast. Pixie-Bob throws up an earth wall and calls a retreat, Kamui Woods carries Shemage, who cannot get a single mushroom to survive the heat, and Shishido warns that the captured villains will burn where they lie unless somebody moves them.

With Kurogiri and now Dabi both here, Froppy's thoughts go to Shoto and Tentacole and whether either is still alive. She and Uravity find Earphone Jack and Tsukuyomi, and Jiro answers the stare at her missing ear by saying she got off lightly. Japan will be buried if Himiko is not stopped, Uravity argues, but Tsukuyomi points out that nobody survives approaching those flames, so with divide and conquer broken, running is the only play left.

Swatting Doubles aside, Endeavor recognizes the fire clinging to his son's chest: that is Phosphor, Shoto's move, and he demands to know what became of the boy. Dabi says he meant to bring him his brother's head and could not manage it, sour that his dream died, and promises to strip away as much as he can of whatever his father tries to protect instead. All For One laughs through it, pleased with how the chain has fallen, reasoning that Tomura's position is where Kurogiri sent himself, and that the far superior Warp Gate would already be in hand.

He tries to ride the chaos out and blast toward Tomura himself, and Hawks cuts him off, asking why a man under Rewind is in such a hurry, and concluding out loud that the so-called perfect body does not actually have his confidence. The answer concedes the point: that body is unfinished, and All For One remains necessary to finishing it. Hawks calls to Endeavor that with the plan dead, a collapse here eventually rolls downhill onto Deku and Tomura, so Dabi has to go down now. All For One tries to needle him about Endeavor's missing arm and his abandoned duty, and Hawks answers, unbothered, that he has already lost to the man once. Dabi charges, and Endeavor thinks about duty, and about how this time he is really seeing Toya.

Gunga's defenders are driven into retreat by the pairing of Dabi's fire with the Sad Man's Parade that Himiko now runs as Twice.

Uravity and Froppy regroup with Earphone Jack and Tsukuyomi, Jiro having lost an ear in the fighting.

All For One attempts to exploit the chaos to reach Tomura and is blocked by Hawks, who deduces that Tomura's body remains incomplete and still requires something from him.

Endeavor squares up against Dabi as the Todoroki confrontation begins.

Numbered 376 in Horikoshi's run, this eleven-page installment debuted in issue 4-5 of 2023 and sits in Volume 38 as part of the Final War arc. Episode 154 adapts it.

The chapter first ran under the title "On Knife's Edge" and was renamed for the volume release. It also carried a color spread tied to the eighth popularity poll.

Horikoshi's author comment identifies the spread as his third fantasy-themed one, describing a village Deku who has joined his childhood friend's bandit brigade.
