Chapter 409

Facing the incoming Omni-Factor Unleash, Dynamight thinks about how far his Explosion has come and decides he will no longer block Izuku's path. All Might screams a warning as the villain rockets forward at impossible speed, but the young hero stays planted and orders him to blow up.

All For One's mouth bursts open from the inside, sending his enormous frame careening toward the ground. He cannot work out what hit him, since his opponent visibly did nothing. Closing in, Dynamight explains that rain weakens his output, so he fired beads of explosive sweat under a coating of ordinary sweat and left them unlit, trusting that some outside spark would do the rest. His enemy realizes they went down his throat during their earlier exchange.

People always compliment his instincts, Dynamight says, and knowing that damage rewinds the villain's age, he declares one Quirk is all he needs. All For One, his powers in disarray from the damage, howls that this is his tale and snarls at the nobody to step aside. Howitzer Impact answers, burying the monstrous shape under a storm of blasts and a shout to shut up.

At the height of the barrage All For One discovers he can no longer blend his Quirk Factors together, and the explosions are not the cause. He wonders if youth has made him too delicate, until his vestige realm answers instead: Hawks stands among the other vestiges and tells him his own ugly feelings have cost him control, adding with a jab that Tomura has swallowed him whole.

With no counter available, Dynamight calls the fight "our tale" and detonates at point-blank range against his head, sending him crashing down. All For One lands in a crater as an infant, barely able to squirm, while the exhausted victor admits aloud that beating him alone was never possible.

A glimpse of Katsuki's own birth opens the chapter, setting his beginning against the villain's regression.

The vestiges rebel against All For One for a second time, and Hawks lands the parting jab, while Dynamight closes his win by crediting everyone else.

Fifteen pages in the magazine and seventeen in the volume, published December 11, 2023 in issue 2 of 2024, collected in volume 40 of the Final War arc and adapted in Episode 163. Horikoshi's comment celebrates his place in the history of Jump.
